the book of james

Someone once said, ‘you are either in the middle of a trial, coming out of one, or about to go into one.’ It doesn’t sound very encouraging - but the reality is life can throw some unpredictable curves and it can sideline our faith and leave us discouraged.

The book of James is so important because It teaches us practical ways to navigate our faith when things are just not working out. The church is scattered, they have lost their identity but James writes to them and teaches them not just to persevere, but grow through this trial.

We may never understand that kind of persecution but we can learn lessons on how to navigate our world, our pain and still grow in our faith.
