New to St. John’s?photo_bibleStudy4

At Bethesda we know that the adventure before you at Post-Secondary or work can be a rollercoaster of excitement and apprehension. We want to partner with you, to assist with your transition to St. John’s. We have witnessed many young adults transition very well, and have unfortunately watched others struggle, it is our full intention to help you embrace your full potential as you strive to make choices that will set you up for future success.

Connect with Us

We firmly believe (and have witnessed) how connection with a local church, community, and mentors specifically help in this transition time. Your may be leaving the comfort of home and a local church where you’ve been well connected, discipled, and plugged in to use your gifts, we believe that you shouldn’t struggle in finding that same comfort when you arrive in St. John’s.

If you have plans to join us for a service or two, please contact us. If you visit our church, we would love to be expecting you.

MUN Bus

We have been providing a bus service (for about a year now) that picks up our students from the Memorial Campus (at the Chemistry Building, or the dining hall during construction on the Chem building) at approximately 11:00a, for our 11:15a service, this bus will return them to MUN following the conclusion of that service (approximately 1:00p).

If you are not staying on campus, but would appreciate transportation arranged to and from our service, please let us know. We will do what we can to facilitate your attendance on a Sunday Morning.

Small Groups & Serving

Additionally, we are thrilled to have a group of YA’s who are friendly, connected, who share in small group time together, and are actively engaged in an array of studies and careers. We would love the opportunity to connect you with someone who in currently in your same field of study who can answer questions, and help you navigate through the next few years a little easier.

> We have activities happening for YA’s on several Thursday evenings a month, this includes cafe style setting, sometimes live music and always great food. Updates on any YA activities are often posted on our Facebook Page here.

> A young professionals small group connects on Tuesday evenings (6pm) for study, events, etc. They have a Facebook Group here.

> Student Bible Study, we also provide an optional student Bible study on MUN campus, details to be decided on time/location.

During the Fall-Spring of the year we have two services on Sunday mornings at 9:00a & 11:15a, during these times there are many opportunities for you to serve. We would love to know about your giftings to help you find a place to use and grow them. To get a head start on serving at Bethesda, start here by completing a Volunteer Application.
